Changing your Email

Change the email on your Averi account, or request SSO removal if you use Google or another social login.

You can update the email Averi uses for your account from Settings. You’ll confirm the new address with a 6-digit verification code sent to that inbox. If you originally signed in with Google, your email is tied to that provider until you request a change through the same flow.

Where to find it

  1. Click your avatar (profile picture) in the bottom-left of the sidebar — this opens Settings on the Account tab.
  2. In Account information, find the Email row.
  3. Click the edit button next to your email to open Change Email.

How to change your email

If you use a one-time code sent to your email address to login to Averi, follow these steps to change your email.

Enter your new email

In Change Email, you’ll see your Current email and a New email field.

Enter the email address you want to use, then click Continue. A verification code is sent to that inbox.

Verify the code

On Verify Email, enter the 6-digit code from the message, then click Verify.

Finish up

When you see Email changed successfully and your new address on screen, click Done.

If you use Google (SSO)

When your email is managed by your login provider, you won’t be able to type a new address right away. Instead you’ll see Email managed by login provider and a short explanation that your email is linked to Google.

To switch toward signing in with email and a one-time verification code instead of Google SSO: click Request SSO Removal. That sends your request to the Averi team. When support has removed the SSO link from your account, they’ll email you so you know you can open Change Email again and complete the steps above.

After SSO is removed, sign in with email when prompted; you’ll verify with a code sent to your email rather than using the Google button.

If you see a message asking you to sign out and sign back in (without SSO) before you can change email, do that first, then return to Settings → Account and try Change Email again.
