Invite Team Members
Invite teammates to your Averi workspace on the Team plan, assign Editor or Member roles, and manage seats.
Invite teammates so your whole team can work in one shared Averi workspace — strategy, drafts, and publishing under the same brand. You’ll need the Team plan to send invites; roles control who can edit content in the editor today.
How to Invite your Team
- Click your avatar in the bottom-left of the sidebar to open Settings.
- Select Manage Team in the settings sidebar.
You’ll land on the Team Members table, which lists everyone in the workspace, their role, and when they joined. Pending invites appear in the same table with an Invited label.
Team Plan Overview
The Team plan is Averi’s plan for shared workspaces. It includes everything on the Solo plan, plus:
- Early release feature access
- Up to 3 teammates in one workspace
Pricing is $199/month (Solo is $99/month). Billing is handled securely through Stripe when you upgrade.
Roles and Permissions
Each person has a role that controls what they can do. Hover a role badge in the team table to see a permission checklist (view all, generate content, review outlines, manage strategy map, edit content, manage account).
| Role (as shown in Averi) | Edit content in the editor | Manage billing & account settings |
|---|---|---|
| Admin | No (read only) | Yes |
| Admin + Editor | Yes | Yes |
| Editor | Yes | No |
| Member | No (read only) | No |
Only one person per workspace can edit content in the editor at a time — either the Editor role holder or the Admin when they also hold editor access (Admin + Editor). Everyone else can still use much of the product (viewing, generating content, outlines, strategy map, supporting with technical foundations like sitemap and schema implementations) but the content editor opens in read only mode, with a Read only badge.
When you invite someone as Editor while you’re currently the editor-capable admin, Averi shows a note that your editor access will change to read only, because each workspace allows only one editor. A collaborative editor — where multiple people can edit the same document — is planned for late June 2026.
You can invite as Editor or Member only. The original workspace Admin can’t be removed or changed to another role from this screen.
How to Invite a Teammate
Open the invite form
On Manage Team, click Invite New Member.
Choose a role
Use the Editor or Member tabs to pick the role. The form shows which permissions that role will have.
Enter their email and send
Type their work email (for example [email protected]) and click Send. They’ll receive an invitation email from Averi.
When the invite goes out, you’ll see a success message and the person will appear in the table as a pending invite until they accept.
Workspaces are limited to 3 members total (including pending invites) and one Editor. If you would like to add more than 2 additional teammates, email [email protected] and we'll get you setup.
Managing Your Team
Admins can use the ⋯ menu on a member row to:
- Change to Editor or Change to Member (not available for the Admin)
- Remove member — they lose access to the workspace, but you can invite them again later
For pending invites, use the X on the row to revoke the invitation.
Removing the only Editor returns editor capability to the Admin automatically.
When Someone Accepts an Invite
- New to Averi: They follow the link in the email, create an account, and join your workspace.
- Already have an Averi account: They sign in and accept the invite; Averi switches them into your organization.
After they’re in, they’ll see the same workspace content according to their role. Non-editors can browse and use most features but won’t be able to change text in the content editor until they’re assigned editor access (or until collaborative editing ships).
How to Upgrade to Team
Open Settings → Manage Team.
What happens next depends on your current subscription:
- If you're on a free trial: You’ll confirm that your trial continues until its end date, then you’ll be billed $199/month instead of $99/month when the trial ends. You can cancel before the trial ends to avoid a charge.
- Solo Plan subscription: You’re sent to Stripe’s billing portal to confirm the plan change (including any prorated charge).
- No card on file yet: You’ll complete Stripe checkout for the Team plan.
After upgrade, return to Manage Team to send invites.
You can also review your current plan under Settings → Account in the billing section. If you downgrade from Team to Solo but still have multiple people in the workspace, you’ll see a warning on Manage Team to remove extra members or upgrade back to Team.
