Framer

Publish content from Averi to your Framer site's CMS as drafts for review.

Publishing to Framer CMS

Averi's Framer integration lets you publish content directly to your Framer site's CMS. Content is added as a draft so you can review it in Framer before going live.

What You'll Need

Before you start, grab two things from Framer:

  1. Your Project URL — Right-click your project on the Framer dashboard and select Copy Link. It'll look something like https://framer.com/projects/My-Site--YQeZNDHNa8etwmvZi2Qw.
  2. An API Key — In your Framer project, go to Site Settings → General and scroll down to generate a project-scoped API key. You can read more about this in the Framer Server API docs.

You'll also need at least one CMS Collection set up in your Framer project (e.g. a "Blog Posts" collection). If you haven't created one yet, do that in Framer first — Averi will pull in your collections automatically during setup.

How to Connect

Open Integrations

In Averi, go to Integrations on the bottom left.

Connect Framer

Find Framer under Publishing and click Connect.

Enter Your Credentials

Paste in your Project URL and API Key, then click Test Connection. You'll see a green checkmark once Averi confirms the connection.

Choose a Collection

Averi will fetch the CMS collections from your Framer project. Pick the one you want to publish to (e.g. "Blog Posts").

Map Your Fields

This is where you tell Averi which of your Framer CMS fields correspond to each piece of content. You'll see all the fields from your selected collection listed with their types.

Required fields:

  • Title — Map this to whatever field holds your article title.
  • Content — Map this to a formattedText field for best results. This is where the body of your article goes.

Optional fields:

  • URL Slug — You can usually leave this blank. Framer automatically generates a slug from the item name, so you only need to map this if you've added a separate slug field to your collection.
  • Featured Image — If mapped, Averi will extract the first image from your content and place it in this field.
  • Published Date — Maps the publish date.
  • Meta Description — Maps the SEO meta description from your content's metadata.
  • Read Time — Maps the estimated reading time.

Review & Save

You'll see a summary of your configuration. You can re-configure your integration at any time by heading back to the Integrations page and clicking Configure in the Framer integration.

Publishing Content

Once connected, you push content to Framer by clicking Send to CMS in the editor or Publish from the finalized column.

Your content will appear as a new draft item in the CMS collection you selected. From there, you can review it in Framer and publish when ready.

Tips

  • Field types matter. When mapping fields, pay attention to the colored type badges (e.g. string, formattedText, image). Matching types correctly ensures your content displays properly.
  • Content goes in as a draft. Nothing goes live until you publish from within Framer.
  • You can reconfigure anytime. Head back to Integrations to edit your field mapping, switch collections, or disconnect.
