Auto-Publish

Automatically send finalized content to your CMS on the planned publish date.

Auto-Publish sends finalized content to your connected CMS or publishing integration after the planned publish date you set, when Auto-publish is turned on for your account.

When Content Auto-Publishes

For a piece of content to be sent to your CMS automatically, all of the following must be true at 11am ET on your Planned Publish date:

  1. Auto-publish is on for your account in Integrations.
  2. The item is Finalized (reviewed and ready to send).
  3. A planned publish date is set, and that date and time are in the past. (Averi auto-publishes content at 11 ET.)
  4. The item has not already been manually published through Averi.

You can still publish manually from Finalized at any time. When Auto-publish is on but an item has no planned date, the publish control is labeled Send to CMS. Depending on your CMS or integration, you may still need a final step inside your CMS after Averi delivers the content.

Before You Start

Make sure all of the following are true:

  1. You have a publishing integration connected in Integrations.
  2. Your content is reviewed and ready to publish.
  3. Content that is ready to go live is Finalized (for example, in the Finalized column on your Drafting page kanban).

Enable Auto-Publish for Your Workspace

  1. Go to Integrations.
  2. Find the Auto-publish toggle.
  3. Turn it ON.

What this controls

This is the global setting for your workspace:

  • On: Finalized items with a planned publish date will be auto-published.
  • Off: Nothing auto-publishes, even if a planned publish date is set.

Set a Planned Publish Date

You can set or change a planned publish date from:

  • Content Docs (table or calendar), or
  • Drafting — task cards in Editing or Finalized

Auto-Published Content Timing

  • Averi auto-publishes once per day at 11:00 AM Eastern Time
  • If it is past 10:45am Eastern Time, you will not be able to select today's date for auto-publish. Instead you can click Send to CMS or Publish to publish any content you'd like manually today.
  • The date picker allows Monday–Friday. Quick actions like 'Tomorrow' skip weekends and land on the next weekday.

Planning your Content Calendar without Auto-Publishing Content

You can set a Planned Publish Date while an item is still in Editing for planning purposes. That alone does not auto-publish. Auto-publish only processes items that are Finalized with a planned date, with Auto-publish permissions on.

If Auto-publish is on and a piece of content has no planned date yet in Calendar list-view, Averi will show 'No auto-publish date set' as a reminder that this content will not publish until you choose a date.

Best Practice for Posting Cadence

Schedule posts across a regular cadence, even when you batch work ahead of time. Many teams aim for a steady rhythm (for example, 1–2 posts per week) rather than publishing many pieces on a single day and then going quiet—consistent publishing often pairs better with sustained visibility and crawl activity than long gaps between bursts.

Use highlighted dates in the Plan Publish Date calendar (dates that already have other planned content) to avoid stacking too many posts on one day.

How to Use Auto-Publish in Your Workflow

  1. Finalize this week's or month's content in batches.
  2. Assign Planned Publish Dates for items that should go out on their own.
  3. Keep time-sensitive posts manual by not setting a planned publish date (click Send to CMS when ready).
  4. Check the destination CMS for successful delivery.

Disabling Auto-Publish

  1. Go to Integrations.
  2. Turn Auto-publish off and confirm.

Connected publishing integrations stay configured; scheduled auto-sends stop until you turn Auto-publish back on.

To pause a single item, clear its Plan Publish Date (you can still publish manually).

Content Did Not Auto-Publish as Planned

Check:

  1. Was the item Finalized?
  2. Did it have a Planned Publish Date?
  3. Was Auto-publish on at the time it should have published?
  4. Did you check after 11am Eastern Time on the Planned Publish Date?
  5. Is your destination integration still connected and healthy?

Using Auto-Publish with Framer

Framer does not allow Averi to auto-publish directly. Instead, when auto-publish permissions are on and you set a Planned Publish Date on Finalized content, Averi pushes it to your CMS and the content will go live the next time you 'publish' your site updates.
