Search Queries
See which search queries people use to find your content in Google Search.
Search Queries shows you the actual terms people type into Google that lead them to your site — along with how often you show up, how often they click, and where you rank. Use it to find new content opportunities and double down on what's already working.
What You'll Need
Search Queries pulls data from Google Search Console. You'll need to connect it before any data appears on this page.
To connect, go to Integrations in the left sidebar and follow the steps for Google Search Console. Once connected, Averi starts pulling in your search query data automatically.
If Google Search Console isn't connected yet, you'll see a prompt on this page to connect it directly.
What you'll see
Summary cards
At the top of the page, four cards give you a snapshot of your search performance:
How many times someone clicked through to your site from a search result.
How many times your site appeared in search results.
Your overall click-through rate across all queries.
Your average ranking position in search results.
When you select a specific query, these cards update to show that query's individual metrics.
Search Performance chart
Below the summary cards, a chart plots Clicks and Impressions over time. You can toggle between Day and Week views to change how the data is grouped.
When you select a query from the table, the chart updates to show that query's trend line, and a chip with the query text appears so you can clear the filter when you're done.
Queries table
The main table lists your top search queries ranked by clicks (highest first). Each row shows:
The search term people used.
Total clicks from that query.
Total times your site appeared for that query.
You can sort by any column by clicking the column header.
Traffic by country
To the right of the queries table, a Traffic by country card shows the geographic breakdown of your search clicks. Each country displays a percentage bar so you can see where your audience is concentrated.
When you select a query, this card filters to show countries for that specific query.
People Also Ask
At the bottom of the page, the People Also Ask card surfaces common questions people search for related to your Strategy Map topics. Questions are grouped by topic — click a topic to expand or collapse its list. Use these to spark ideas for new content that matches what your audience is actually asking.
How to use the data
Select a query for detail
The table header walks you through it in two steps:
- Select query — Click any row in the table to highlight that query. The summary cards, chart, and traffic by country all update to show data for just that query.
- View performance over time — Once a query is selected, click the View performance over time button in the table header to scroll to the chart and see how that query's clicks and impressions have trended.
Click the same row again to deselect it and return to the overall view.
Change the date range
Use the dropdown at the top of the page to switch between Last 7 days, Last 28 days, or Last 90 days. All metrics, charts, and tables update to reflect the selected window. The default view is Last 90 days.
Tips
- Look for high impressions + low clicks. A query getting lots of impressions but few clicks usually means you're ranking but not earning the click — a better title tag or meta description could help.
- Find queries you didn't expect. You might be ranking for terms you haven't written about directly. Those are opportunities to create dedicated content and capture more traffic.
- Check your country breakdown. If most of your traffic comes from a region you don't target, consider whether your content and offers match that audience — or whether localized content could convert better.
- Use People Also Ask for content ideas. The questions listed at the bottom are real things people search for in your space. Answering them in your content helps you match search intent and can improve rankings.
