Google Search Console
Connect Google Search Console to track how content performs in Google search.
Averi's Google Search Console integration pulls your sitemap and search performance data directly into the platform so you can see how your content ranks, what people search to find you, and where to improve — all without leaving Averi.
What You'll Need
- A Google Search Console account with at least one verified property (your website).
- A Google account that has access to that property.
How to Connect
Open Integrations
In Averi, click Integrations in the bottom left sidebar.
Find Google Search Console
Under the Analytics section, find Google Search Console and click Connect.
Sign in with Google
You'll be redirected to Google's login screen. Sign in with the Google account that has access to your Search Console property and grant Averi permission to read your search data.
Choose a property
After connecting, a configuration dialog opens automatically. You'll see a list of your Available Properties — these are the websites you've verified in Google Search Console.
Each property shows its type:
- Domain Property — covers all subdomains and protocols (http and https)
- URL Prefix — tracks only the exact URL you specified
Select the property you want Averi to use, then click Save Configuration.
If you don't see any properties, make sure you've verified at least one website in Google Search Console. New properties can take a few minutes to appear.
What You Get
Once connected, Google Search Console data powers three areas across Averi.
Page Performance
Find it under Analytics → Page Performance in the sidebar.
This view shows how your individual pages are performing in Google Search. You'll see a table of your top pages ranked by clicks, with four key metrics for each:
- Clicks — how many times someone clicked through to your page from Google
- Impressions — how many times your page appeared in search results
- CTR — click-through rate, the percentage of impressions that turned into clicks
- Position — your average ranking position in Google results
Summary cards at the top show your totals across all pages. Click any page to highlight it — the chart and summary cards update to show that page's performance. Click the same page again (or use Drill into queries) to see the exact search terms driving traffic to that specific page.
Search Queries
Find it under Analytics → Search Queries in the sidebar.
This view reveals the actual search terms people use to find your content on Google. The table lists your top queries with clicks and impressions for each.
Click any query to see its performance over time in the chart above. Next to the queries table, a Traffic by country card shows where your search traffic is coming from geographically.
Sitemap Health Check
Under Foundations → Sitemap, Averi uses your Google Search Console connection to check whether your pages are indexed by Google. You can run an indexing health check to see which pages Google has picked up and which ones it hasn't — helpful for spotting content that may need attention before you start publishing new articles.
Tips
- Domain properties give you the broadest view. If you have both a domain property and a URL prefix for the same site, the domain property captures data across all subdomains and protocols.
- Data takes time to accumulate. Google Search Console data can lag by a day or two, and newer pages may not show meaningful data until they've had time to get indexed and start ranking.
- Use Page Performance to find optimization opportunities. Pages with high impressions but low CTR or a high average position are prime candidates for content refreshes.
- Drill into queries to understand intent. Seeing the exact queries that lead to a page helps you refine your content to better match what people are actually searching for.
- You can reconfigure anytime. Head back to Integrations to switch your tracked property or disconnect.
